Impulse buying

An Apple Watch isn’t an impulse buy.  I’ve been thinking about it over a year.  And by nobody’s definition except the early retirement guys (and fair enough, they are valid) would it be irresponsible.

It’s more about principle and discipline.  Can I forego purchases even when they fall into that zone?  Obviously I’m not perfect at it.  How consistently can I do it? What strategies will I use?  How far should I go and why?

I pulled out of the work parking lot then turned toward Best Buy.  Then I pulled back in at another entrance and turned my car around and this time exited in the other direction to go directly home.  I let myself out the item in the cart but then I close the window.
