Transunion and Equifax. Vantage score 3.0 from Credit Karma. 758 by Equifax and Transunion. About a 15 point drop from the last report. They still lists my credit as “Excellent.” Perhaps b/c the last of the credit card usage data fell off the report (Equifax reports “no data” on credit card utilization). I guess this month will be the 3 year mark from the last time I interacted w/ a credit card?
A different app (“Clarity Money”) says that Experian reports 757 and rates my credit only as “very good.”
Vantage Score 3.0 is a competitor to FICO. It claims it can score more people than FICO, I guess b/c it uses more data. It was developed jointly by Experian, Equifax, and Transunion.
Mint still lists the credit score as 801. It claims it is getting its data from Equifax.
“The credit score provided under the offers described here use the Equifax Credit Score, which is a proprietary credit model developed by Equifax. The 3-bureau scores are each based on the Equifax Credit Score model, but calculated using the information in your Equifax, Experian and TransUnion credit files.”
So it looks like Mint isn’t Vantage Score or FICO. It’s something else completely. Hooray!
